So what is church?

 

You walk past the building, you hear the singing, you see the people going in, you may even know some of them. But what is it all about? What is going on in there?

We think that the message of Christianity, the message of Jesus Christ, is the most important news anyone can hear. That is why we meet together to listen to what the Bible has to teach us about Jesus and to apply it to our lives.

We believe Christianity is about people and not buildings or religious trappings. A church is a group of people who live their lives encouraging each other to live with Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. At BEC we aim to explore the teaching of the Bible about Jesus and its relevance to our lives.

We believe that it is relevant, that in fact it answers our questions and our needs and sets before us the way we really are made to live.Please take some time to look at our web site. To find out a little about us and the things we do. We hope you will agree that the church is not dead or dying but is very much alive. We have activities designed for the very young, babies and toddlers, to the more mature, and hopefully offer something for those in between. In all our activities we aim to make God known, to show his love and tell his good news.
